Noel

Noel is a 1.5 year old female.  She came to the shelter as a stray with a litter of kittens.  She is quite happy to be inside now where she has plenty of food and it is warm.  Don't let her side fool you though.  She's just a big kitten with lots of energy.  She is super sweet, curious, easy going for nail clipping, talkative, all around nice girl. She can often be found racing around MeowZa or hanging out in the red tent by her play cage.  Adopt her today for a minimum donation of $40.

Artemis Center

We'd like to thank Artemis Center for being this month's MeowZa Cat Boutique Sponsor!  Their generous donation has helped cover some of our operating expenses.  If you or your company would like to be a sponsor, contact Brian Weltge a bweltge@hsdayton.org.

Did you know?
The HSGD in collaboration with Artemis Center created a program called Safe Haven Program to provide temporary shelter for pets in domestic-violence situations.  At a moment’s notice, we will board animals in a safe and secure location – usually for a period of 30 days – for families fleeing violent conditions.  The Safe Haven program protects pets from abusers and provides peace of mind for families seeking their own shelter and safety.

Jack

Meet mellow-man Jack.  Jack is beautiful in color with the Siamese-looking flame point coat and blue eyes.  He found himself at the shelter when his owner ran into financial issues.  Jack hasn't let that slow him down though.  Jack enjoys his cat naps throughout the day but can get quite interested if you want to pay attention to him, especially if you have catnip!!  He was recently featured in the house pet judging at the CFA cat show where he behaved like a purrfect gentleman and received 5th place!!  Consider adopting  our winner today!

Sassy

Sassy is a 3-4 year old, DSH tortie.  Unlike her name, she's the sweetest thing out there.  She was brought to the shelter as a stray and has quickly adjusted to life inside.  She's very friendly, loves having her head scratched, and enjoys wandering around Meowza.  Can you give her a home to call her own?

Midnight

Meet Midnight, our talkative gentleman.  Midnight found himself at our shelter when his previous owner ran into financial issues.  Midnight is six years old, which is a nice age to be.  He still has plenty of energy and is a very healthy man but definitely likes his naps.   Food, water, a litter box and love will make Midnight a happy cat.  And speaking of food, Midnight is accustomed to eating only Royal Canin Hypoallergenic food, a little pricey, but worth it to keep his tummy balanced and his manly figure intact!  He will compensate you with conversation, love and purrs!

Volunteering is Great!

MeowZa Cat Boutique opened its doors in December 2008.  It is a cat adoption center and boutique located at the Sears end of the Dayton Mall.  The store is primarily run by volunteers who socialize cats, offer pet care advice, assist in maintaining a clean store, and, of course, help cats find their forever homes.

If you enjoy cats, consider volunteering at MeowZa!  We are always looking for more volunteers.  If you're interested in possibly joining our MeowZa team, sign up for one of the MeowZa Information Sessions at our scheduling website.  If you would like more information about Meowza or any of our other volunteer opportunities, you can contact Caitlin Lewis at our shelter at 937-268-7387.
