Callie Mae

Loving Callie Mae found herself at the shelter when her previous owner had to move and couldn't take her. According to her previous owner, she likes to be scratched on her head, enjoys chasing around hair ties, and will nibble on fingers when playing. While Callie Mae has lived with another cat, she does not do well with dogs.  Stop by Meowza to say hi!

Cat Body Language

We love cats a whole lot here at MeowZa! Loving cats also means being considerate of  there moods and different personalities. We can only hope that all would be so understanding of our furry friends and approach animals in a respectful manner. We urge you to read this short article about cat body language, And please watch out when sticking your hands in cat cages or picking up animals you don't know as some cats might be scared or think you're a toy!

A cat looking for a lap!

Meet Chesapeake or "Chessie".  This beautiful 4 yr. old boy is the biggest sweetheart out there.  He likes being near people, loves being held and is happy to sit and relax in anyone's lap.  He is fine around other cats but doesn't agree the best with dogs.  Consider this lovely fellow for your family!

Double the love

Meet our bonded pair Bambi and Ali-Kat!  Bambie and Ali-Kat found themselves at the shelter when their previous owners had to deal with family health issues. They were a little shy when they first arrived but are definitely coming out of their shell.  Bambi, a 5 yr. old female brown tiger, likes to explore the front window, jumping and cat napping from perch to perch.  She's super sweet and can often be found grooming Ali-Kat.

Ali-Kat is our bundle of fur.  He is a DLH black and white, 6 year old male.
Ali-Kat loves having his head scratched and will give you licks on your hand as a thank you.  He also enjoys being brushed.

The cats have also experience living with a dog. Both are also front declawed.  Because Bambi and Ali-Kat have lived together for several years, we want them adopted together. Both cats are easy going and friendly. Do you have a place in your heart and home for this affectionate pair?

Little Miss Abi

It's hard to believe this little girl is actually 6 years old.  Abi found herself at the shelter when her previous owner passed away. She is super sweet, a little talkative, and loves to be pet. Abi's also a big fan of wand and mice toys. While she has been around other cats, she would prefer to be your only child.
